Ort der Handlung ist Brooklyn, New York. Man merkt gleich, der Drehbuchautor von <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0114478\/\">Smoke <\/a>und <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt0112541\/\">Blue in the Face<\/a> war am Werk. Das Buch hat dieselbe liebevolle Erz\u00e4hlweise. Die Figuren sind gewohnt ungewohnt, haben schillernde Geschichten und erleben dann gar nicht einmal so besonders ungew\u00f6hnliche Dinge. Ein besserer Ansatz als andersherum. Woher kommt der Titel dieses Eintrags? Das ist das zentrale Thema des Buches, nein, eher der Antrieb der Hauptfiguren: Die Suche nach einem Ort innerer Einkehr, der eine Rettung vor den umtriebigen Geschehnissen erm\u00f6glicht. Ein Ort an dem man geborgen ist, wie ein Hotel. Das Hotel des Seins.<br \/>\nDas ist wieder mal eins der B\u00fccher, in dem man sich sofort zu Hause f\u00fchlt und das gar nicht mehr aufh\u00f6ren soll.
